Adult Programming Clerk

The Adult Programming Clerk coordinates and implements adult programming for the entire library system.  The position requires excellent communication skills both oral and written, a level of creativity and the ability to talk in front of small groups of people.  Time management, organization, and self-motivation are a must.    

 

Location: Willard 

Hours: up to 25 hpw 

Rate: starting at $9.14

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with all adult services, including but not limited to adult programming and presentations, conduct library tours, and patron assistance.

  • Orchestrate and implement programming. Responsible for helping plan and implement adult programming and the annual adult summer reading program, including bulletin boards and displays.

  • Assist with Outreach programming

  • See that the “Rules and Regulations for Public Behavior” are followed in the by patrons in the absence of a senior supervisor

  • Assist with design and making of marketing flyers 

  • Able to work independently; make sound decisions

  • Operate library equipment, including facsimile machines, copiers, computers, etc. including projector, laptop, hotspot, etc. 

  • Attend staff meetings as called by the Library Director or Branch Librarian

  • Attend NORWELD, OLC, and other professional meetings, workshops, and conferences

  • Publicly support the Library Board of Trustees, the Library Director, and library policies

  • Promote a positive image of the library

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Branch Librarian or Library Director.
