There can't be too many books about tigers that take place in Minnesota, but here's one. When two rare tigers are stolen from the zoo in Minneapolis, the fear is that they were taken for body parts to be used in traditional Chinese medicine. Enter Virgil Flowers, investigator for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. As Virgil tries to crack the case, the Xanax-addicted criminal mastermind behind the catnapping is starting to crack up. Can Virgil get the evidence he needs to nail the bad guy and find the tigers before it's too late? John Sandford is one of my favorite authors. He consistently writes a great story with lots of action and humor that is impossible to put down.
