Everyone in northeast Ohio remembers the day the missing girls were found.  We had seen the missing posters and the candlelight vigils for so many years.  And everyone was stunned to discover that there was a third girl, the girl who'd been missing the longest, but no one was even looking for her.  That girl, of course, was Michelle Knight, now known as Lily Rose Lee.  Michelle's second book talks about her life after the rescue and her constant struggle to achieve and maintain a "normal" life, something she's never really had.  Michelle was beaten and abused as a child and was forced to endure an even worse situation after the kidnapping.  After the rescue, she had serious health issues that had to be addressed before she could go home.  And where could she go?  She had no loving home and family to welcome her back like the other girls did.  Even after gaining her freedom, Michelle had to continue to find the strength within her to carry on.  But persevere she did, finding real friends, a fulfilling career helping others and even finding love, something she wasn't sure was even possible.  You can sense the change in Michelle in this book.  She's more centered and in control of her life.  Her faith, and her faith in herself, has served her well and she will continue to grow and recover and lead a gratifying life.
