A seemingly typical suburban couple have found a unique way to spice up their marriage - by killing young women. It started innocently enough, a case of self defense. Then they had to kill again to cover up the first one. Then they realized they liked it. A plan is devised to resurrect a serial killer from the town's past and lay the blame on him. But this may be working too well; their teenage daughter starts having serious issues concerning her personal safety. And when a girl thought to have been dead a long time is found to have been killed only recently, our narrator realizes his wife may have her own agenda. What a debut! It's dark, twisted and delightfully disturbing. The original storyline is perfectly executed. Downing is one to watch.
