Amy Whey leads an idyllic life with her husband and children, but it wasn't always that way. Amy has something in her past that she never told her family and somehow the new woman in the neighborhood, Roux, knows all about it and is blackmailing her. But Amy's not going to roll over and just let this happen. Roux's got things she's hiding, as well. All Amy has to do is find out what. And so begins the game of cat and mouse. I had a hard time getting through this. It seemed like we went over the same things again and again. And some of it was quite farfetched. I was over 200 pages in and instead of being enthralled with it, I wanted to give it up, but I hung in there and finished it. There were a couple of surprises, but they weren't of a pleasant nature; they were rather disturbing. Jackson may be a bestselling author but I won't be searching out any of her other endeavors.
