Terry Maitland, beloved teacher and coach, is arrested for a heinous crime.  The evidence against him is overwhelming.  Terry's alibi is that he was out of town at a conference when this atrocity was committed.  The evidence that he was at the conference is also overwhelming.  How could he be in two places at once?  The police are certain they have their man but they don't know how to explain the conflicting evidence.  As the tragedy continues to unfold, Detective Ralph Anderson becomes consumed by the case and is determined to find answers.  But he may not believe what he finds.  I thought this was a good, solid read.  A nice police procedural with a supernatural twist.  The spooky factor may not be quite as intense as some of King's older works, but he will forever be in a class by himself.
