Patricia's book club is tired of reading boring books that they "should" read instead of reading something that they want to read.  So they start reading true crime books.  When Patricia becomes suspicious of a neighbor's handsome and charming nephew, everyone thinks she's read one too many books.  James Harris has invested in local business endeavors and ingratiated himself with every family in the neighborhood.  But Patricia is sure he isn't exactly what he appears to be.  It turns out he is even more evil and terrifying than Patricia could ever imagine.  What a surprisingly enjoyable read!  After seeing this book languish on the shelf for weeks, I thought I'd give it a chance.  So glad I did.  The juxtaposition of the genteel Southern housewife and the malevolent vampire make for a fun, yet creepy reading experience.
