Michael Tanner travels a lot as founder and CEO of an up-and-coming coffee company. As he navigated his way through security at LAX on his way home to Boston, he inadvertently picked up someone else's laptop; a laptop belonging to a U.S. senator and containing top secret documents. Now that senator will go to any lengths to get that laptop back. Tanner would love to be rid of it, but now he's afraid it's the only thing keeping him alive. Joseph Finder is the master of putting an average Joe in a larger that life situation against an overwhelming advisary. His thrillers tend to be timely and relevant, this one dealing with government surveillance of it unknowing citizens.
