Dealing with an aging parent and the aftermath of their demise is something we're all going to go through, if we haven't already.  In this heartwarming memoir, Plum talks about the death of her father following many years of progressing dementia.  Several years later, her strong-willed, outspoken mother passes.  Now Plum and her three brothers must decide what to do with the huge twenty-three room house they grew up in and the deluge of stuff and memories that they suddenly find thrust upon them.  Plum temporarily moves into the house to take on the overwhelming task of going through everything.  Each day is an emotional rollercoaster and as she sifts through the past, Plum finds herself learning things about her parents that help her better understand who they really were as people and not just a parents.  This moving, sometimes funny, story will strike a chord with all of us.
