When Angela married Jason, an economics professor, she thought she could finally put her tragic past behind her.  But when Jason becomes a bestselling author and media darling, their lives are suddenly in the spotlight.  And when Jason is accused of sexual harassment and rape, their lives come under scrutiny.  That's the last thing Angela wants after years of shielding herself and her son from unwanted attention.  Angela attempts to stand by her man despite warnings from friends and family to distance herself from him before it's too late.  But when a police detective starts looking into Angela's past, it's time to take whatever steps necessasry to protect her family.  I enjoyed the first half of this book, but then Burke's past as a prosecutor came to the forefront and the story seemed to slow down a bit as we wrangled with a lot of legal ramifications.  I had things pretty much figured out before the end and while you may not like Angela very much, you'll have to admit, she is a survivor.
