Throughout the month of March, the Willard Memorial Library location of the Huron County Community Library has lots of programs and activities planned for all ages. Starting with our Pre-schoolers, every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. there will be fun activities, snacks, and stories. On March 1st & 2nd the theme for story time is “Wahoo – It’s the Zoo”, on March 8th & 9th “The Gusty Wind is Blowing”, on March 15th &16th  “Going Green – It’s no Blarney”, on March 22nd & 23rd “Wake Up It’s Spring” and on March 29th & 30th  “The Ants Go Marching”.

 

The Youth Services Department has scheduled movie night for March 7th at 5:30 p.m. Go back with us to Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the Demigod Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain's daughter's island, she answers the Ocean's call to seek out the Demigod to set things right.

 

Kids stop in from 4-5:30 p.m. on March 2nd, 16th, 20th, and 30th and be creative with our Drop-in Crafts. On March 2nd create a Dr. Seuss Craft, on March 16th a St. Patrick’s Day Craft, on March 20th a Spring Craft and on March 30 have fun coloring with us.

 

Teens don’t miss out on our Teen Time “happenings” on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. On March 13th join us for Board Game Night, on March 20th Create a Book Trailer, and on March 27th take part in Coloring Night (Harry Potter Edition).

 

Celebrate “Teen Tech Week” with us March 6th-11th. On March 6th at 4:30 make Paracord Collars for the Huron County Humane Society and get your fines waved. *damaged or lost items cannot be waived*. March 8th from 4-8 p.m. drop-in and make an emoji pillow. March 9th from 4:30-7p.m. stop by and create your own bookmark. March 11th at 12 p.m. will be Java with Jo.

 

Sharon Substanley will be here on March 13th at 6 p.m. to present “Essential Oils & You: Using Oils to Ease the Aches and Pains of Everyday Life”.

 

Celebrate Women’s History Month on March 20th at 6 p.m. with a live portrayal of Susan B. Anthony. Charlene Connors from “Women in History” will be at the library to portray this well-known woman’s suffragette.

 

On March 23rd at 6 p.m. join us for “Reliable News & You: A Look at Fake News” and on March 27th at 6 p.m. come to Pinterest Monday and make an Exploding Scrapbook!

 

A special Harry Potter movie event is planned for adults and teens on March 28th at 5 p.m. Enjoy snacks and watch the adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
