The Willard Memorial Library location of the Huron County Community Library is celebrating their newly renovated library this Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Ribbon-cutting Ceremony and Open House. Join us for tours and refreshments!
On December 5 from 5-7 p.m., drop in for a holiday Pinterest Craft. Make a special ornament from the various styles and types available. For example, choose a wineglass ornament, or a Christmas tree, or a 3-D Snowflake. All materials are provided.
Another drop-in ornament craft is planned for December 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Not sure what gift to buy for this holiday season? Come to our Tech Petting Zoo on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. and test-drive a device with our staff and ask questions. We will have various tablets: Kindle, Android, Ipad, and Surface for you to look at and compare.
Also on Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. we will have live holiday music. A local brass group will be entertaining us and refreshments will be provided. Stop in, listen, and enjoy our live holiday music.
December 9 is Christmas Card Day! Kids stop in and make a card for someone special! Then on December 15 from 3-5 p.m. join us for Christmas Crafternoon!
Tuesday, December 6 is Family Movie Night. Join us at 6 p.m. as the quiet life of a terrier named Max is upended when his owner takes in Duke, a stray whom Max instantly dislikes. This movie is rated PG and lasts about 90 min.
Hey kids!! On December 22 and December 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., join us for 2 days of “Move Marathon Madness”.
A special “Polar Express” event is planned for December 20 at 6 p.m. Come in your pajamas and take a trip with us into our favorite holiday story. Sign-up is required due to limited space.
Storytime will be held on Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. and Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. The theme is “Reindeer Games”. On Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. and Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m., Storytime will be a “Christmas Sing-A-Long”.
December 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the “Friends of the Library” will hold their Pet & Family Pictures and Cookie Walk Fundraiser. The whole family is welcome. Get your pictures with Santa. The Friends of the Library will hold their event in the library annex.
