     Even in the middle of winter, the Huron County Community Library has plenty of activities planned to keep all ages busy.  At the Willard Memorial Library location our preschoolers are invited to join us on Wednesdays mornings at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for story time.  The theme for Feb. 2 is “Wild about Wolves”, for Feb. 8&9 “Moose on the Loose”, Feb. 15&16 “Wonderful Walrus & Silly Seals”. 
      Family Movie Night is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m.  After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.  
     Come join us, kids, on Feb. 6 from 4:30 to 5: 30 and play with snow!!  Then use your building skills on Feb. 15 from 4:30 to 5:30 by taking part in Lego Mania.  
     Use your creativity at the library on Feb. 2 from 4-5 p.m. and make a “Silly Winter Craft”; on Feb. 9 from 4-5:30 p.m. make an “Olaf” hat; on Feb.16 4:30-5:30 p.m. make paper Snowflakes;  and on Feb. 28 from 4:30 to 5:30 make a “Mardi Gras Mask”.  Finish your mask and enjoy some doughnuts!
     Winter Reading will end on Saturday, February 18.  Prizes will be drawn at 11 a.m. and afterwards there will be “Blizzards” to enjoy.  Sign-up is requested.  Be sure to take part in a second program on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 1:30-2:30.  Don’t miss the opportunity to meet Anna and Elsa from “Frozen”.  Sign-up is required.
     Hey Teens the Library has plans for you, too!!  Teen Time meets on Mondays each month at 4:30 p.m.  On Feb. 6 there will be a Wii Tournament with “Just Dance” and “Wipe-out”:  On Feb. 13 take part in Conversation Bingo and Mad Lib Love Letters; and on Feb. 27 relax with Jo and enjoy Teen Coloring.
     Adults begin the month of February on Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. and join us for “Pinterest Monday”.  We’ll show you how to make your own holiday or seasonal window decorations by making “Do-It-Yourself Window Clings”.
     Get ready for the Great Backyard Bird Count on Monday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Josh Dyer from the Crawford County Park District will be here to give you a special look at bird watching. 
     Doors open at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 for “The Beatles in Cleveland”.  Relive the excitement of Beatlemania at our Willard location with author Dave Schwensen.  He will take you behind the scenes and on stage with the Fab Four through rare concert films and insider stories.  The Evenings highlights will include films of the Beatles riotous concerts at Cleveland Public Hall in 1964 and Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1966.  Books will be available for purchase and an author signing at a special library discount price following the program.
     It’s time for the Iditarod at the library on Monday, February 27 at 6 p.m.   This is a special family event to be held at our Willard Memorial Library location.  The Siberian Husky Club of Greater Cleveland will be joining us to talk about the Siberian husky, Balto, the Iditarod, and much more.  Get the opportunity to meet a “Real” Siberian Husky Sled Dog.
