Suellen Jacobs was the Children's Librarian at the Willard location of the Huron County Community Library. She was an avid reader and an advocate for libraries. But she was also an advocate for her community. Suellen truly embodied the idea that #LibrariesTransform. Suellen passed away before our complete renovation to the Youth Services Department, but thanks to many generous donations, she has a presence in our new Storytime Room.
The unrestricted donations given by community members were used to purchase a rocking chair in memory of Suellen. Engraved in the chair is a quote from one of her favorite authors, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." by Dr. Seuss.
