     Planning your March calendar??  Check with all of our Huron County Community Library locations to add our various activities to your calendar as well.  Our programming and activities range from in-person to virtual and from youth to adult.

     Teens join us on Facebook, Thursday, March 17 at 6 p.m.  March 18 is “World Sleep Day” and we will help you get ready for it by showing you how to create your own Moon Dream Catchers.  Also join us to learn something about the history of Indigenous dream catchers and more.  All locations will have kits available on March 17.

     Our Willard location will be holding a free workshop in our Willard Annex.   Monday,

March 28 at 6 p.m. join us for “Cricut 101: Decals and Transfers”.  This class is limited to 30 people.  Terry will share what she has learned from using her Cricut.  We will also do a fun and easy project.

     “Grab and Go” Kits will be available (while available) for each of Miss Char’s Facebook crafts.  Read across America Day is March 2.  Join Miss Char Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. on Facebook.  Read with her as she shares a fun new story about kindness and a cool craft, too.

     Happy National Potato Chip Day is Tuesday, March 15.  Join us on Facebook that day to learn about the inventor of potato chips and the craft will teach how to make your own chips at home.

     Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World!  March 18 is World Sleep Day!  Miss Char will celebrate with you on Facebook with a look at wellness and how people and animals around the world sleep.  She will include a craft on how to make your own worry doll to relieve stress.  

     Stop by our Willard location on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for in-person storytime with Miss Mitzi.  On March 2 the theme is: “A Colorful Storytime”; on March 9, “The Gusty Wind is Blowing”; on March 16, “It’s No Blarney—We Are Going Green”; on March 23, “Spring is Here” and March 30, “The Ants Go Marching 1 by 1. Hurrah, Hurrah”!

     “Stream for Free at the Library” is held at our Wakeman location on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.  On March 2 “Leap into Science Wind Workshop; on March 9 “Paper Celtic Knot”; on March 16 “Density Experiment”; on March 23 “Board Game Day”; and  on March 30 “Leap into Science Balance Workshop”.

     The Anime Watch Party event in Wakeman is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 and March 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

     Beginner Line Dancing will be held on March 3 and March 17 at the Wakeman Masonic Lodge across the street from the library.  Bringing a water bottle is recommended.

     Wakeman Preschool Storytime is available on Wednesday or Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  Dates for this month would be March 2 or 4, March 9 or 11, March 16 or 18, and March 23 or 25.  

     Teens stop by our Greenwich location and pick up a fun “Take and Make” activity craft.  On March 3 create a Tote Bag, on March 17 make Spring Origami, and on March 31 make Sunset Paint and Pour Coasters.

    Drop in each week at our Greenwich library and pick up a new kit for a K-Readiness Busy Book.  Each take home kit will focus on a skill your child needs for Kindergarten.  The week of March 7 is “Writing Practice. Let’s write our names.  The week of March 14 is “Patterns and Puzzles”.  The Week of Mar. 21 is “Shoes, Buttons, Snaps. Oh My”!  

     Join Miss Jenny for Storytime at our Greenwich location on Wednesday evenings at 5 p.m.  and also Friday mornings at 11 a.m.  The theme for March 2 is “Dr. Seuss Day”; March 9 & 11 is a “Johnny Appleseed Craft”; March 16 & 18 is “Butterflies”; March 23 & 25 is “Grassheads are back”.

      Pick up a weekly “Take and Make” craft kit for your family at our Greenwich and North Fairfield Libraries.  The kit for the week of March 7 is “Planting Flower Seeds”; for the week of March 14 is “Cherry Pie Plate”; the week of March 21 is “Cherry Blossom Tree Picture: and the week of March 28 is “Cork Mushroom Craft”.

     Join Miss Carolyn at our North Fairfield location for Storytime on Tuesday, March 22 at 11 a.m.  Miss Carolyn ‘s storytime includes fun sign language.

     Willard’s “Monday Reads” will meet on Monday, March 14 at 10 a.m. to discuss the book “The Four Winds” by Kristen Hannah.

    “Turn the Page” book club is held on Thursday, March 31 at 6 p.m.   Share your thoughts with Miss Vicki on the book “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah.

     Manga Club with Mrs Rogers meets at 2:45 p.m.  at the Willard City Schools.  On Tuesday, March 1, 15, & 29 the discussion will be on “Attack on Titan”.

     “Cook Up a Storm Cookbook Club” will meet on Wednesday, March 30 at 6 p.m. in the Annex.  The selection will be “Soul Food”.

     Wakeman Cookbook Club will meet Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m.  Their cookbook choice is “Dinner Then Dessert” by Sabrina Snyder.

     “Who Picked This Book” Wakeman Book Club will share thoughts on March 16 at 5:30 p.m.  The book chosen is “Everything Sad is Untrue” by Daniel Nayeria.

     Greenwich’s “No Strings Attached” invites you to stop in and let staff help you find a new author.

     The Inspirational Book Club at North Fairfield would like you to come to the library and let Carolyn help you find an amazing read.
