Our summer programming has ended at all of our Huron County Community Library locations and now with September starting, they will begin with new ideas for fall.
Join us at the Willard Memorial Library location on Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m. in the annex to create a custom piece of jewelry using fabric and beads. The project will be a cuff style bracelet. Sign up is required.
Pop-Up Studio returns at Willard as we adventure into the world of art. Sign up is required for this three part series. Learn about texture art, pour paint art, and double exposure art. These art sessions will take place in the Willard Annex on September 10, 17, and 24 at 6 p.m.
Ever want to try overnight oats? Join Melissa on Monday, September 23 at 6 p.m. in the Willard Annex for overnight oats tasting and the opportunity to create your own to take home. Sign up is required.
Do you have pantyhose that you would like to have a use for? Come to the Willard Enrichment Center on Thursday, September 12 at 10 a.m. and take part in “Craft Time with the Library”. Join us to learn how to create flowers out of pantyhose. Supplies will be provided.
Line Dancing is back! Join “The Rockin Mommas” and get moving with the library in this fun way of exercising. First Line Dancing workshop will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 6 p.m. Registration is encouraged.
Willard Memorial Library’s “Writers’ Group” will meet on Thursday, September 19 at 5 p.m. Please contact Josh at jfigley@huroncolib.org if you are interested in writing and want to be part of the group.
Tech Thursdays with Jarrad are available every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Willard Computer Lab. Just drop in with your computer questions.
“Monday Reads”, Willard’s morning book discussion will meet at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9 in the Willard Memorial Library Community Room. They will be discussing the book “The House is on Fire” by Rachel Beanland.
“Turn the Page Book Discussion”, Willard’s evening book discussion will get together on Thursday, September 26 at 6 p.m. to share their thoughts on the book “We Were Strangers Once” by Betsy Carter.
Bring your little one to “Read to Me Storytime” with Miss Mitzi on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. or Thursday, evenings at 6:30 p.m. The theme for September 4 & 5 is “Back to School with ABC’s and 1, 2, 3’s”; on September 11 & 12 it is “A is for Apple”; on September 18 & 19 it is “The Farmer Says”, and on September 25 & 26 the theme is “Fall, Friends, and Storytime Fun”.
Come to the Willard Community Room on Tuesday, September 10 at 4:30 p.m. Join us for a fun brick challenge and build using Legos.
Celebrate International “Dot Day” by making a mandala bookmark with us. (while supplies last) The Dot Art Bookmark activity will take place in the Willard Library Annex on Thursday, September 12 at 4:30 p.m.
Join us, Kids, in the Willard Youth Services Programming Room on Tuesday, September 24 at 4:30 p.m. We will be altering art by adding ghosts which has become a big trend in the last year. We will be painting ghosts onto recycled art.
Kids, be sure to stop in and check out some “New” fun titles from our many book displays.
Drop in at our Wakeman location anytime from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on September 12, 19, and 26 for “Thursdays after School”. Each week will feature something new in fun activities, crafts and more.
Join Cathy on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. for stories, activities, and more. Storytime at the Wakeman Library will be September 13, 20, and 27.

Wakeman’s Cookbook Club will get together on Monday, September 9 at 6 p.m. Visit the Wakeman circulation desk for a copy of “Faith, Family, and The Feast” by Kent Rollins. Pick out a recipe from the cookbook and cook something delicious to share.
“The Secret Life of Sunflowers” by Marta Molnar is the chosen book for the “Who Picked this Book? Book Club” at the Wakeman Library. The group the will share their thoughts on the book September 16 at 5:30 p.m.
“Explore Everything with Becky”, at our Greenwich Library location on Monday, September 16, between 4 and 6 p.m. Kids will have fun with science, math, art, or building. This program will offer something new every month. Projects range from 20-30 min. each.
Storytime at our Greenwich location is scheduled for Fridays at 11 a.m. Bring your little ones on September 6, 13, 20, and 27.
Join us at the Greenwich Library for a fun, fall “Family Craft” on Monday, September 23 between 4 and 6 p.m. or Thursday, September 26 between 3 and 5 p.m. Sign up is preferred.

World Suicide Prevention Day is September 10, 2024. Join us on September 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Library as we explore what we can do to heal and prevent suicide with Ashley Morrow of the Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Kids and friends come and move with us at the North Fairfield Library for after school scavenger hunt walks around town on September 16 and 30 at 4 p.m.
Come drum to the rhythm of music at our North Fairfield location. Kids of all ages can have fun with “Cardio Drumming” on September 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 4 p.m.
On Friday, September 6 at 1 p.m. create flowers from pantyhose at our North Fairfield Library. Supplies will be provided.
Celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day at the North Fairfield Library. On Monday, September 23 at 4 p.m. we will make mug muffins and milkweed seed bombs for Monarch butterflies.
