Young certainly did her homework when researching the Midwest and Big Ag. She created a gripping backdrop to a grisly investigation. There's a lot going on in this graphically detailed novel besides the murders, but it's not difficult to follow and you'll most likely come away a fan of Riley and awaiting the next installement.
