Jodi Bishop is trying to do it all. She is a successful real estate agent, a wife and mother and she's trying to take care of her aging parents, which is particularly challenging because of her mother's illness and her father's controlling nature. When Jodi finally seeks assistance in caring for her parents, she feels blessed to find Elyse, a lively widow who is more than capable of taking care of her mother and who even charms her hard-to-please father. But now Elyse seems to be trying to keep Jodi away. And is that her mother's watch that Elyse is wearing? I hadn't read a Joy Fielding novel in a long time and now I'm wondering why. This was a fast-paced page turner with relatable characters, true to life dialogue and relevant subject matter. I may be biased since I'm dealing with the aging parent issue myself right now, but this was a really good read.
