When Myles gets out of prison, he knows he's going to have to deal with Pryor. Unfortunately, things didn't work out the way he planned and now he's lying in a hospital bed attached to machines with tubes and wires running in and out. His girlfriend, Penny, knows it's now up to her to take care of Pryor so that she and Myles can get on with their life. She's a woman on a mission. J.P. is something of a milquetoast, working as a deputy in what used to be his father's sheriff's department. J.P. has no idea he's on a collision course with Penny and Pryor. It takes a while to get up to speed with this story, but once you do, there's no slowing down. You're propelled into a dark, seedy underworld of crime and it's an enjoyable ride.
