Teen Programming- Library Clerk
The Teen Programming- Library Clerk coordinates and implements teen programming for the Willard Memorial Library. The position requires excellent communication skills both oral and written, a level of creativity and the ability to talk in front of small groups of people. Time management, organization, teen advocacy, and self-motivation are a must.
Location: Willard
Hours: up to 30 hpw
Rate: starting at $10.51
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with all teen services, including but not limited to teen programming and presentations, conduct library tours, and patron assistance.
- Orchestrate and implement programming. Responsible for helping plan and implement teen programming and the annual teen summer reading program, including bulletin boards and displays.
- See that the “Rules and Regulations for Public Behavior” are followed in the by patrons
- Able to work independently; make sound decisions
- Operate library equipment, including facsimile machines, copiers, computers, etc. including projector, laptop, hotspot, etc.
- Attend staff meetings as called by the Library Director or Branch Librarian
- Attend NORWELD, OLC, and other professional meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Publicly support the Library Board of Trustees, the Library Director, and library policies
- Promote a positive image of the library
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Branch Librarian or Library Director.
